So Friggin' Fraggin' Excited!

I'm am so excited to be going to NYC tomorrow that I can't sleep. Everyone in my house is sleeping except me, and I'm the one who has to get up at the butt crack of dawn. I've always wanted to see The Statue of Liberty and The Empire State Building. I'm going to see those and more in less than 24 hours!
I'm just so nervous that I'm forgetting something or that I will leave something important on the table or something dumb like that. Bah!!
I'M GOING TO NYC!!!!

Birthday Boy

This is a layout of my nephew on his birthday last year. I always agonize over trying to get the perfect present for anyone's birthday, and it looks like in this situation it paid off. He liked the cowboy hat and cap guns we got him so much that he was a cowboy for Halloween last year. He is such a sweet boy. I'm glad I finally came up with a page to showcase his fun personality.

And, of course, this is sketch #12 from 52Sketches-52Weeks. And, my photo is crooked AGAIN.

Birthday Kisses

The boys were playing video games today, so I got to sneek in a bit more scrappy time. I've been able to do that a lot more lately. I wish I could scan my pages. My scanner isn't big enough, and I'm not even going to attempt scanning and stitching. But, when I take pics, they always end up looking crooked. Oh well. You get the idea.
This layout is based on sketch #2 from 52 Sketches-52 Weeks. This is me and my niece, Jordyn, blowing kisses after putting lipgloss on for her birthday party. She is so freaky cute.
Oh no! I just realized that I put the wrong year. I keep doing that. Now I have to go write over it. Crap.

Guitar Hero Star

This is a layout that I did today based on a sketch from 52 Sketches-52 Weeks again. I'm really lovin that site. It's helping me get my groove back on. I have a lot of pictures that I want to get scrapped, so the less time I have to use thinking of ideas, the better. I love how this one turned out. It really made me think outside my comfort zone because the sketch looked too feminine for me to use at first. I kicked feminine's ass though didn't I? LOL

Street Ball

So, yesterday was a really nice day. The boys in the neighborhood decided to play some street ball. They had so much fun. It was good to see Garrett get out of his room and away from the computer and video games for a while.
Then there were these two girls that must have walked by about a zillion times. I kept hearing them say things about the boys. Like, "Yeah I've known Garrett for over 5 years now." and "Hey Colin!". Then they were being really loud and doing all sorts of things to get attention from the boys. Pretty funny stuff. I remember doing that as a kid.

Wahoo--another page down

This is a page I did using sketch #10 on this cool website I found called 52 Sketches-52 Weeks. As soon as I saw the sketch I knew it was perfect for these pictures--I had the right sizes and the right quantity. I didn't even have to tweek it at all. Brainless scrapping--I'm all for that.

Wow....I'm On A Roll

This makes three pages in one week! But, I go in spurts. Usually I'll do a few pages and then get burned out and end up not doing anything for a while. I'm hoping that if I change up the subject matter a little like I have been, maybe I won't get burned out so fast.
These are some random pictures of just the three of us girls during Christmas' when we were younger. Andy wasn't even a twinkle it our parents eyes yet. This layout is based on one that I found in my Close to My Heart layout book, Cherish.

Two Scrapbook Pages in One Week

Wow, two pages in one week. I'm impressed with myself lol. Hopefully I can keep going like this. I'm always a lot happier when I get to do some creating. Here is a simple page I did today of me and my sisters when I was about ten. We were playing dress up. I got the layout for this page from a sketch on page 88 of the April 2009 Scrapbooks Etc. magazine.

NYC Baby!!

My sister, Kim, is taking me on yet another trip. Isn't she the best? Seriously. She is so awesome. She is flying me, my sister Lacy, and our cousin Shadette out in a couple of weeks to New York City for a long weekend. Can you believe it? I'm so excited I'm almost unbearable to be around lol.

We're going to see The Phantom of the Opera on B-R-O-A-D-W-A-Y. OMG! We're staying in Times Square. How much more freaking awesome can it get? I'm going to see the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building. Wonder if we can go see Ground Zero? I will get to experience real New York Pizza and Hot Dogs. Ah, the good life.....

Oh geez, what am I going to where? I mean, it's entirely possible that Stacey and Clinton might see me. Tee Hee.

My Scrapping Mojo......

has been absent this last couple of weeks. I was still looking at other people's work and thinking about it, but when I tried to do it, it just wasn't working. Finally, on Thursday night, I broke out my good old sketch book from Close to my Heart (Cherish). I chose some pictures and some paper that I thought would go well with them, found a sketch that looked like it would work, and voila......my mojo was back. It took a while to put together because I don't really have a lot of spare time. So, I was just working on it a little at a time. I have to say, this is one of my favorite layouts so far. I've been saving this pic of grandma forever because I wanted to make sure that what I did with it was special. I didn't want to screw it up. Can you believe this is a pack of patterned papers that I found at Dollar Tree? Sometimes you can find a diamond in the
rough.
