Like Totally 80's Ok

Most people who read my blog have probably seen these pictures. I posted them after 80's Day at work last year. Well, I just had to make a page about my sincere adoration for anything 80's (except leg warmers--seriously, what is that all about?).
Anyway, this is my layout for the 52sketches52weeks challenge blog week #16 sketch. If you scrapbook, you should totally check out this website. It is awesome. I've done so much more since I found it.

Spring in Utah

This is a page I did using sketch #1 from Got Sketch. I love these papers from Imaginisce and had to buy them just for this. The embellishments are from a kit that I won on 52 Sketches 52 Weeks a couple of weeks ago. There is a little square on the bottom right that looks kind of weird. I made a mistake and was trying to cover it up. I might have to go back and cut a new piece to go in there. It bothers me.

My Hunter

I have been waiting and waiting to do a page about Shane's love of hunting. I can't ever get him to pose for a good picture. He hates taking pictures. So do I, but I've learned to deal because I think it is important that your kids have them when you are gone.
Anyway, I was looking through a photo CD of some pics that Kim had taken on the 2007 muzzleloader deer hunt. Low and behold, she had several full-face shots of Shane. How did she get him to do that? He isn't exactly smiling, in fact, I think he is talking to someone. But, it's a good picture and I'm so glad I finally got to do a page about his passion.
This is the best picture I could seem to get of my layout. The lighting in my house is horrible. I even had the blinds open and let the sunshine in, but I couldn't seem to get a better one.

Proof.........

that Mother Nature is schizo. Utah has to be the weirdest weather state ever. This is what I woke up to this morning. Brrrrrrr................I wanted to crawl back in bed.

Fast forward about 9.5 hours, and this is what welcomed me home.....

Hello.......freaking schizo!

All American Boy

This is my layout for the #15 sketch on 52sketches52weeks. I love the 4th of July. It is my favorite holiday. This particular year I had been lucky enough to be given tickets to the Stadium of Fire from someone at work. We had a blast (other than the 2.5 hours it took us to get there because of traffic). Garrett got to see the F16 fighter jets fly by overhead and someone parachuted from an airplane with an American Flag flying behind them. It was way cool. And, of course, the fireworks were magnificent. I don't remember who performed because I didn't really like them :) It was someone from High School Musical.

I love the look on G's face. He's always pulling some face when I try to get his picture. I'm sure he gets tired of me taking pics all the time, but someday maybe he will thank me. Especially since between newborn and about 6 years old I don't have many pics of him at all. I didn't have a camera for a while, and I didn't realize how important they would be to me later. Hindsight is 20/20 you know. So, for all you new moms out there, take lots of pictures!

My Little Man...........

Oh my............G has really grown up hasn't he? I really just wonder where the time went sometimes. Other times, I remember pretty well lol. Anyway, this is Garrett's spring picture that he just brought home to me last Thursday. I just had to share because I think he is so handsome, don't you?

Silly Boy

These are some old pictures I have of Garrett. He is about 3 years old in these pictures. Anytime someone would give him stickers (and surprisingly, he got a lot of them), they went straight on his face. He would laugh and laugh. He thought it was just hilarious. I have very few pictures of him when he was this fun age. I had a 110 camera, and most of the time the pictures came out dark. Or, I didn't have the money to develop them and they were ruined by the time I tried. Sad. But I do have a few that make me smile. Like these.

And, again, this layout came from 52sketches52weeks.

Campy Gals

I hate the glare on this picture. It is a really cute picture of us three sisters when were little. I think if you asked any one of us, this would be the favorite of all our younger pics. There just hasn't been any light to take a decent picture in lately around here. When is spring really going to get here anyway?
This layout is based on sketch #13 from 52Sketches52Weeks (I really love this site, can you tell?).

We're Back!

We were actually home from NYC on Monday, but I haven't had the energy to blog until now. I could barely drag my happy butt out of bed for work lol. The time change is only two hours, but we went to bed late and got up early every day. It was so very worth it though. We saw so much that I never dreamed of being able to see. The Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Rockefeller Center, Ground Zero, Central Park, Trinity Church, The Phantom of the Opera on BROADWAY........I could go on and on. My feet hurt so bad on the third day that I thought I would die. Umm.........someone needs to get out and walk more. But, every bit of it was worth it. I had the best time. I'm so glad Kim gave us all the opportunity to do this together. I know we all got closer, especially Lacy, Shadette, and I. We never knew her as well as Kim did. But, we might know things we never wanted to now lol. Anyway, here are a few pictures to tease your mind. All of us have our pics on Facebook if you want to see them all. Kim has a better camera than me or Lacy, so hers are clearer pics. It was cloudy and overcast most of the time we spent there.
