HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

So, this is me before work today. I love dressing up for Halloween. I didn't have a lot of time or ambition to do a costume this year, so I just threw some Hallowen colors together and my dear sister, Kim, let me borrow some jewelry and this cool witches hat. I love it because it doesn't mess up your hair and give you hat hair for the entire day. I haven't been really "feeling" Halloween this year, but I am today lol. I feel bad because we didn't even carve or paint our pumpkins this year. They are sitting on our porch all nice and undecorated. Poor Garrett. I'm a bad mom. He doesn't seem to care much though. I think he's starting to get a bit older now and less into it. That's sad. I never lost it. Dude, I trick-or-treated til I was 17 years old. I was short, so they probably didn't know I was that old tee hee. It wasn't really about the candy. It was about the fun of it all and dressing up and trying to scare your friends. Ah, memories. Well, have to go to work now. Boring.

Alaska 2007 Scrapbook (cont'd)

I finally finished my husband's 2007 Alaska trip album. It is really hard to scrap something you weren't there for. And, since Shane doesn't really remember a whole lot now, it was even harder. Maybe I should start their 2008 trip now. It will be even funner because Garrett went.

I Ride?

I haven't scrapbooked for a long time. I just never have time anymore. Plus, half the time I sit down and nothing comes out. I've found that using sketches really helps me a lot. I did this layout of my son at 2 (he's 11 now, yeah I'm a bit behind) with a sketch from Valerie Salmon's sketch blog, http://gotsketch.blogspot.com/. I really like that blog. Anyway, isn't he just adorable? I miss my little chunk monk. Love my G, but you mother's know what I mean.

My Children

Dude--my sister did this on her blog, so I thought I would play. Well, when I went to make my babies on http://www.makemebabies.com/, my baby came out looking almost exactly like Lacy's. Twilight Zone music. I know, imagine that huh? Anyway, these are my kids according to this site lol. Hop on over to Lacy's site and you'll see what I mean by our little girls looking alike.

P.S. What's with the red hair? Shane's dad has red hair, but neither of us do. And Lacy's kid had it too. Hmmm.

Fall, Autumn, Harvest, Halloween, the list goes on....

I love this time of year. I love putting on warmer clothes. I love the chill in the morning and breaking out hot cocoa. I love the colors of the leaves and the change of pace in the air. I love shopping for Christmas and trick-oir-treating. And, I really love the pictures I get to take lol. This is one we took last year of my niece and nephew (toe heads) and Garrett in the pumpkin patch. Sadly, G will be getting too old for that soon. I hope he'll remember it as fondly as I have.

We're Home

We just got home from camping for 9 long glorious days. I love camping--I truly do--but 8 days without a shower is a bit much. We have a trailer, but if you're not camping somewhere that you have a water hook-up (not my hubby's style btw), you really can't use the shower. If you did, you'd use up all the water in the tank.
Anyhow, we had an absolutely fabulous time. We saw lots of deer, but we didn't shoot any because we don't really need the meat right now. We agreed not to shoot anything smaller than a 4x4 buck. Shane got a shot at what he says was a "monster", but it was a long shot with a muzzleloader and he didn't get it. I'm secretly happy, but don't tell him. I swear if we have to hang one more animal on my living room walls, we will need a bigger house. So far we already have 3 deer heads, one elk (small one--not a head mount), a goose, and a pheasant in there. Sheesh.
Thought I'd share a few photos. Some of the scenery ones look awesome, but when you open them you'll see that I was taking them in a moving vehicle and they are a bit blurry. Oh well, I tried. The sunrise one is gorgeous, and I wasn't moving, but I guess maybe I was shaking a little bit. Hopefully if I print it on 4x6, it won't show up too blurry.
I posted lots more on facebook if anyone is interested.

Baby Card

Our friends across the street just had a new baby boy last week, and I made this card for them. I was so excited that I got this stamp in the mail yesterday from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. I had to use it. I just love giraffes, and they are soooooo perfect for baby stuff.

Like, Totally Awesome 80's Day Baby

So, like Friday was Totally Awesome 80's Day at work, and like I had a total blast Ok. I know right--I look rad! LMAO--seriously though, the 80's are my decade. I was only like 10-12 when this was actually popular, *sigh*, but it was like totally fun while it lasted.

I wish I could post everyone's pics, but I think that's personal rights infringement or something. It was hilarious though.

Alaska 2007 Scrapbook

Ok, so I'm not even close to being done with this album, but I thought I would share some of the pages I've been doing. This is Shane's trip last year with his dad. They took another trip this year and took Garrett this time, so ya, I'm behind.
I do know that the word strips on the jeep page are crooked, and I'm not fixing them right now. I might if I get in a really anal mood someday, but I'm too tired right now lol.
